IMAGE HI-FI review

“…Basel Acoustics’ first model appeals to the mind as well as the body and emotions, albeit with a slight emphasis on the latter – precisely the combination I seek when listening to music. The creators of this outstanding loudspeaker are therefore to be congratulated: Sven Boenicke, who has once again surpassed himself as a designer, and of course Piotr Misiewicz, who has made a brilliant start and scored a direct hit with Basel Acoustics and the Concept V01. Basel is on its way to becoming a real force in the world of audiophile art – if it isn’t one already!”

“…Perusing sundry Munich show coverage from afar, this sighting struck me as one of the most exciting amongst the glut of Oligarch Fi shown across the MOC’s upper floors. Should I get the call asking about my review interest, you’ll already know my response: Hell yeah! If the phone won’t ring, I look forward to reading about this new speaker elsewhere. I’d be surprised if there weren’t plenty of takers already… “

Innovation was achieved without losing the ‘Sonic DNA’. And I dare say that this choice may lead more audiophiles to want to discover and own the creations of this designer. It is a speaker that possesses a refined, open sonic signature (more so than the Boenicke speakers), while maintaining the formula and balance so present in the philosophy and concept of its designer…”

“…We are pleased to say that the performance of the Concept V01 exceeded our expectations, and of course, Wenxiu, who was in charge of the tuning setup at Human Image, was also a key contributor behind the scenes.

For audio loudspeakers, good performance is a basic requirement; however, for acoustic furniture, achieving a harmonious blend of form and function presents another challenge. The Basel Acoustics Concept V01, a product of collaborative efforts between industrial and aesthetic designers and acoustic designers, embodies the theme of this review article: ” A Sound Art Masterpiece Like Modern Sculpture!” (written by editor Tao)…”
